How do product owners accomplish great ownership and thrive in the environment?

How do product owners accomplish great ownership and thrive in the environment?

Dear partner

According to the SCRUM guide, the Product Owner has a lot of responsibilities. To do good in all of those, let alone excel in them will be tough. So, we have the feeling that we are burning out the Product Owners. You might want to do it all and feel the world’s weight on your shoulders. Or you might not get the full mandate and only end up with the headaches of all the responsibility. How do product owners accomplish significant ownership and thrive in the environment?

The essence of the role is simple but getting all circumstances in such a way that you end up with a nourishing environment might not always be in your circle of influence. Thus, understanding a role and doing it are two very different things.

How can we help in doing this? What can we do to help product owners accomplish significant ownership and thrive in the environment? How can we facilitate them to create value more quickly?

A PROGRAM IN THREE PARTS:

Let’s dive together into the Agile product manifesto and its principles to discover how it can help in ownership.

  • What is the role of PO and how do we situate this in a company?
  • What is the Agile product manifesto?
  • Given this agile product manifesto, what do you need to excel in your job as a Product Owner?

After that, we will take all our insights and move on with the use of liberating structures and groups to make our own best recipe, including all the weighted ingredients of a great Product Owner.
